Slasherverse

One rather interesting universe is the Slasherverse, the idea that a whole lot of the slashers from the horror movies we love so much exist within the same universe. Let's start with the easy one. Jason Goes To Hell, the 9th installment in the Friday the 13th series featured the Necronomicon from Evil Dead

In the same movie we see the claws of Freddy Krueger, but that reference would lead to Freddy vs Jason, where Friday the 13th crossed over with Nightmare on Elm Street

 Now further connnections can be made with the lesser known movie Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon where the events of the Friday the 13th series, Nightmare on Elm Street series, Child's Play series, Last House on the Left, Halloween (H20 timeline) series, Candyman, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hellraiser all actually happened and have spawned imitators such as the titular Leslie Vernon which the main character investigates.

By the way I totally recommend this movie, its one of my favorites. Not for the squeamish tho

This connection is further solidified in Bride of Chucky where the key items in some of the above mentioned series, mainly Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street,  Halloween, are stored in the evidence locker from the opening of that movie.

While this isn't necessarily pertinent to THIS specific universe but Evil Dead, Friday the 13th and Child's Play connect to the Hack/Slash comic series, a series based in a world where slashers are a common thing that people just have to deal with. Now I'm not including that, but it does solidify my point, a bunch of these slasher franchises have crossed over with each other in the past directly in comic form.

The reason I'm not including the comic is due to the fact that the rabbit hole would  never end as Evil Dead in the comics has crossed over with everything from Vampirella to Marvel Zombies which connects to the main marvel storyline which connects to the MCU and I feel like we would be here forever and I don't think it makes logical sense.

But this does solidify this Slasherverse, a world were these semi-human beings exist with superhuman abilities that are bent on killing in a certain fashion does exist.

To recap, the Slasherverse includes:

• Friday the 13th series (original, not the remake)
• Nightmare on Elm Street (origina, not the remake)
• Evil Dead (which includes Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Evil Dead (2013) and the show Ash vs. The Evil Dead)
• Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
• Last House on the Left (1972)
• Halloween series (H20 timeline only)
• Candyman and its sequels
• Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original, not remakes or reboots)
• Child's Play series
• Hellraiser series (except for films where Hellraiser is fictional)

This would be quite a bad universe to live in to be honest, yeesh.
